Beer Batter (Solon Springs)

1 ½ c flour

1 tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

1 T sugar

1 egg, slightly beaten

1 c beer (add more if thinner batter is desired)

Mix dry ingredients.  Add egg and beer.  Mix until smooth. Dip in meat, fish or anything to be deep-fried.
